Our vision for creating an Agricultural Food Hub and Black Community Food Center is multidimensional. One part of it is through the continuation of building out our food pantry - which we call The Center - in East Country. Through The Center we have an opportunity to invest directly in our Black and Brown farmers by purchasing products from them. This is about creating opportunities for more sustainable access to culturally specific and relevant foods as well as creating a gathering space for cultural connections. In addition, we are working with youth in our community to provide access to representation and future-proofing of our food system through teaching the next generation of changemakers and food system leaders by providing career opportunities in the food system that we are working to change.
